Wayne Wilson is lured to work for new London gossip magazine Stargaze by its editor Eleanor who is his lover. Assigned by her to stalk and photograph reclusive movie star May Hudson, he finds himself pretending to May’s friends Rodney and Jules to be a movie producer to get close her.

Introduced to Wayne, May is taken by him and begins a liaison with him thinking him to be a rich property developer looking to dabble in the movie business.

Wayne, still needing his shots, tries to convince may to do a photoshoot as she has been absent from public life for many years. Scarred by a previous encounter with a paparazzi photographer, May is insistent on not being photographed. Encouraged by Rodney and Jules, bit by bit, Wayne wears her down until she agrees to be photographed.

Happy to be ‘alive’ again, May suddenly discovers that Wayne is not who he says he is and takes her revenge.
